NEW PRODUCT LIQUID CHROME

LIQUID CHROME has already been approved by well-known OEMs as a surface alternative to classic chrome plating! TECLAC provides the desired shine.

WHY LIQUID CHROME?

Since 21 September 2017 it has only been possible to use the chromium trioxide (chromium (VI)) essential forchromium plating on request. The uncertain future of chrome plating for decorative surfaces leads to the challenge of developing potential complementary products to be able to still meet the demand for this decorative design element. Thanks to LIQUID CHROME, TECLAC is able to offer a series solution for chrome-like surfaces in the exterior and interior of a vehicle.

ADVANTAGES OF LIQUID CHROME

  • Different colour variations are possible according to the OEM design proposals
  • Environmentally friendly, as free of heavy metals
  • Full corrosion resistance
  • Flexibly usable on all type of plastic surfaces
  • Higher level of elasticity of the surface structure

System responsibility

Air inlet grilles, roof antenna hoods, rear spoiler lips, tank and loading flap modules... Thanks to professional supplier management and the good cooperation with carefully selected partners, TECLAC also takes responsibility for the development and delivery of whole component groups.
Suitable subcontractors are selected according to the required machine configurations, the logistical challenges or the required project development know-how.

TECLAC aims to provide the entire range of a component and/or system supplier. Further in-house assembly activities are also part of the performance scope of our products ... from planning to the finished workpiece!

COMPREHENSIVE INSPECTION OF PRODUCT QUALITY

The name TECLAC stands for quality. Quality assurance is of paramount importance in our corporate philosophy. Our customers appreciate this commitment. For TECLAC this represents approval, but at the same time is a duty and a constant challenge.

The extensively equipped test and laboratory workplaces of the two TECLAC sites represent the present state of the art in the field of analysis technology. Here, the most modern devices are available to the employees to check the products after the plastic coating and to monitor the paints used. And, of course, quality assurance consistently takes into account the requirements and individual specifications of the customers. As a consequence, it covers a large proportion of OEM-relevant test procedures.

In addition to the normal climate testing and adhesion testing devices, to maintain quality requirements the TECLAC laboratories  also have options for

  • Colour measurement (BykMac) including graininess and sparkle
  • Gloss level measurement of 20°/60°/85°
  • Measurement of the surface structure via Wave Scan (BykMac)
  • Microscopy including microtome section
  • Rheology of hydro-based paints
  • Stone impact tests
  • Xenon tests / long-term weathering
  • Fully automatic climate and temperature extremes tests (WHITE)

... and much more

To guarantee ideal quality support including during series production, the qualified employees of the quality department are on hand to provide direct support to customers and help to ensure that the requirements are met according to the specifications.
