“YOUR TURN!”, this is the invitation to you
With the start of the apprenticeship on 1 August, the motto is “OUR TURN" for the first day together in the companies of the WERNER Gruppe. Be ambitious from the beginning. In the spirit of getting to know each other, a total of 27 new trainees in various commercial and technical-technical professions start their new professional lives in the WERNER Gruppe with the Welcome Day. They began not at the company, but with a high ropes course. Here numerous young women and men were welcomed at the start of their professional life in the form of an apprenticeship or dual studies.
Everybody is given the opportunity to test her/his own skills under very special conditions. In bright sunshine and with delicious barbecued food, the Welcome Day ended with a joint "apprenticeship barbecue party" and relaxed interaction with the HR officers of the WERNER Gruppe Lucas Müller, Kathrin Malkmus and Isabell Montry.
In the following days, the career start in the respective companies begins with the introduction of the companies. In this context, the new trainees receive helpful information about rights and duties as well as recommendations and tips from their mentors from the older training years within a trainee etiquette course.
Technical expertise is learned at the trades companies DAMIAN WERNER, WEMO-tec and EPOWIT. And the results can be seen after every single working day. In this context the opportunities of working on something big are particularly interesting. Who can say: “It was me who built the scaffolding at the church in my home town", "I helped build the most expensive hotel in Frankfurt or I participated in the building of the tallest bank building in Europe". It is the challenges in the interesting locations and buildings that leave tradesmen amazed time and again.
In industry, interrelationships have to be recognised and consistently applied in a solution-oriented manner to keep the production process going. At TECLAC you can confidently say afterwards that you ensured that the handles and bumpers on dad's car got the right colour. The experience of working with complex plant technology and robot controls to accomplish tasks for the automotive industry is an interesting field.
The young people trained within the group are given a high priority, which should strengthen the corporate performance in the future. In addition to the training within the company, cross-group offers are made to exchange ideas among young people and to start joint ventures. The success of the training is recognised with numerous awards. In 2017, for example, Dietrich Wanner became the national winner of the drywall installers in his final year after having won at a federal state level. All trainees are invited to prove themselves and to show what they are made of. They will be taught a secure basis for this.
